For those of you who have been asking….We are growing tomatoes as we speak and we anticipate that they will be in stores at the end of November and be available throughout the winter. If you want more information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
3 G Farms prides itself on providing the highest quality, best tasting, all natural tomatoes to the local grocery stores. We grow them you like your grandfather did (if he used hydroponics). Nothing but hard work, water, and a little fertilizer. Our greenhouses and hydroponic systems allow us to forgo the use of any pesticides and we use the smallest amount of fertilizer required to keep the tomatoes healthy. Our proximity to local grocers mean we don’t have to use preservatives to keep the tomatoes looking nice on the way the store shelves. In fact, we use natural spring water in our hydroponic system to keep chemicals from contaminating our tomatoes.
We use natural spring water!
The use of water from our spring allows us to avoid using the public water system which eliminates the opportunity for chemicals such as chlorine, fluoride, and trihalomethanes, that can be found the public water supply, to contaminate our tomatoes. It also helps us keep the cost of the tomatoes down.
We do not use pesticides!
Our greenhouses and hydroponic systems are designed to minimize the time required to grow tomatoes and the access that pests have to our produce. This means we don’t have to use pesticides to keep our produce looking and tasting great.
We do not use wax!
Waxes, including petrolatum, paraffin and carnauba, are used by most large producers on a wide variety of produce including tomatoes, apples, bell peppers, avocados, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, citrus fruits, peaches, pumpkins, eggplants, squash and hardshell nuts to retain moisture, slow flavor loss, enhance appearance and prevent mold during packing, shipping and selling. 3 G Farms doesn’t use any waxes. We get our tomatoes to market fast enough so we don’t need waxes!
